What is swi-prolog-test
swi-prolog-test is:
SWI-Prolog is a fast and powerful ISO/Edinburgh-style Prolog compiler with a
rich set of built-in predicates. It offers a fast, robust and small
environment which enables substantial applications to be developed with it.
SWI-Prolog additionally offers:

- A powerful C/C++ interface
- GNU Readline interface
This package provides a set of prepared tests and checks for
installed SWI-Prolog system. This package is intended for SWI-Prolog
development and is of no use for ordinary users. If you’re not sure
about this package, you don’t need it.
There are three methods to install swi-prolog-test
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install swi-prolog-test Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install swi-prolog-test
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install swi-prolog-test
Install swi-prolog-test Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install swi-prolog-test
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install swi-prolog-test
Install swi-prolog-test Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install swi-prolog-test
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install swi-prolog-test
How To Uninstall swi-prolog-test on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the swi-prolog-test
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove swi-prolog-test
Uninstall swi-prolog-test And Its Dependencies
To uninstall swi-prolog-test
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove swi-prolog-test
Remove swi-prolog-test Configurations and Data
To remove swi-prolog-test
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge swi-prolog-test
Remove swi-prolog-test configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove swi-prolog-test
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge swi-prolog-test
