What is system-config-printer-udev
system-config-printer-udev is:
These utilities allow one to detect automatically printers using UDEV when
they are plugged on the system. They are then configured automatically in
the CUPS printing daemon and made available to users.
There are three methods to install system-config-printer-udev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install system-config-printer-udev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install system-config-printer-udev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install system-config-printer-udev
How To Uninstall system-config-printer-udev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the system-config-printer-udev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove system-config-printer-udev

To uninstall system-config-printer-udev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove system-config-printer-udev
Remove system-config-printer-udev Configurations and Data
To remove system-config-printer-udev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge system-config-printer-udev
Remove system-config-printer-udev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove system-config-printer-udev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge system-config-printer-udev
