What is tableau-parm
tableau-parm is:
The tableau-parm is an small command line utility designed to interact with
Tableau forensic write blockers. It performs functions similar to the Tableau
Disk Monitor.
Is designed to interact with write-blocking forensics bridges produced by
Tableau, LLC. It can be used to query bridges for various bridge and device
data, as well as to disable DCO regions.
There are three methods to install tableau-parm on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tableau-parm Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tableau-parm using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tableau-parmInstall tableau-parm Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install tableau-parm using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tableau-parmInstall tableau-parm Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tableau-parm using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install tableau-parm
How To Uninstall tableau-parm on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the tableau-parm package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tableau-parm
Uninstall tableau-parm And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tableau-parm and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tableau-parm
Remove tableau-parm Configurations and Data
To remove tableau-parm configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tableau-parm
Remove tableau-parm configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove tableau-parm configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge tableau-parm
