Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install tao-config-dev on Kali Linux.
What is tao-config-dev
tao-config-dev is:
C++ header-only library that reads config files based on JSON and JAXN
formats and in turn, produces a single JSON valur as a result.
Its features are as follows:
- JAXN syntax with extensions (backwards compatible with JSON).
- JAXN data model (JSON extended with binary data and non-finites).
- Meta data, all sub-values are annotated with filename and position.
- Copy, reference, replace and delete anything in the JSON structure.
- Multiple ways to read and parse other config and data files.
- Uses environmental variables and the output of arbitrary
shell commands.
There are three methods to install tao-config-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tao-config-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

How To Uninstall tao-config-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the tao-config-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tao-config-dev
Uninstall tao-config-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tao-config-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tao-config-dev
Remove tao-config-dev Configurations and Data
To remove tao-config-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
