on Kali Linux.
What is tapecalc
tapecalc is:
tapecalc is a fixed-point calculator that operates as a full-screen editor. It
is designed for use as a checkbook or expense-account balancing tool.
tapecalc maintains a running result for each operation. You may scroll to any
position in the expression list and modify the list. Enter data by typing
numbers (with optional decimal point), separated by operators.
An output transcript may be saved and reloaded for further editing.
There are three methods to install tapecalc
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tapecalc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install tapecalc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tapecalc
Install tapecalc Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install tapecalc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tapecalc
Install tapecalc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install tapecalc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install tapecalc
How To Uninstall tapecalc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the tapecalc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tapecalc
Uninstall tapecalc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tapecalc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tapecalc
Remove tapecalc Configurations and Data
To remove tapecalc
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tapecalc
Remove tapecalc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove tapecalc
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge tapecalc
