What is gtans
gtans is:
The Tangram is a Chinese puzzle where the player has to arrange a set of
pieces to match a given shape. All the pieces must be used and should not
be laid on top of one another. The pieces are five triangles, a square and
a parallelogram. gtans contains more than 380 figures to play with. It uses
the mouse to control pieces. gtans is highly customizable using the
interface.
There are three methods to install gtans on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gtans Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gtans using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gtans
Install gtans Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gtans using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gtans
Install gtans Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gtans using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gtans
How To Uninstall gtans on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the gtans package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gtans
Uninstall gtans And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gtans and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gtans
Remove gtans Configurations and Data
To remove gtans configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gtans
Remove gtans configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gtans configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gtans
