hydra-gtk is:

show how easy it would be to gain unauthorized access to a system
remotely.
It supports: Cisco AAA, Cisco auth, Cisco enable, CVS, FTP, HTTP(S)-FORM-GET,
HTTP(S)-FORM-POST, HTTP(S)-GET, HTTP(S)-HEAD, HTTP-Proxy, ICQ, IMAP, IRC,
LDAP, MS-SQL, MySQL, NNTP, Oracle Listener, Oracle SID, PC-Anywhere, PC-NFS,
POP3, PostgreSQL, RDP, Rexec, Rlogin, Rsh, SIP, SMB(NT), SMTP, SMTP Enum,
SNMP v1+v2+v3, SOCKS5, SSH (v1 and v2), SSHKEY, Subversion, Teamspeak (TS2),
Telnet, VMware-Auth, VNC and XMPP.
This package provides the GTK+ based GUI for hydra.
There are three methods to install hydra-gtk on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install hydra-gtk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install hydra-gtk using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install hydra-gtk
Install hydra-gtk Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install hydra-gtk using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install hydra-gtk
Install hydra-gtk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install hydra-gtk using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install hydra-gtk
How To Uninstall hydra-gtk on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the hydra-gtk package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove hydra-gtk
Uninstall hydra-gtk And Its Dependencies
To uninstall hydra-gtk and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove hydra-gtk
Remove hydra-gtk Configurations and Data
To remove hydra-gtk configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge hydra-gtk
Remove hydra-gtk configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove hydra-gtk configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge hydra-gtk
