on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is kamailio-berkeley-modules
kamailio-berkeley-modules is:
Kamailio is a very fast and flexible SIP (RFC3261)
server. Written entirely in C, Kamailio can handle thousands calls
per second even on low-budget hardware.
This package provides the Berkeley database module for Kamailio, a
high-performance embedded database. All database tables are stored
in files, no additional server is necessary.
There are three methods to install kamailio-berkeley-modules
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install kamailio-berkeley-modules Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install kamailio-berkeley-modules
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install kamailio-berkeley-modules
Install kamailio-berkeley-modules Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install kamailio-berkeley-modules
using apt

sudo apt -y install kamailio-berkeley-modules
Install kamailio-berkeley-modules Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install kamailio-berkeley-modules
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install kamailio-berkeley-modules
How To Uninstall kamailio-berkeley-modules on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the kamailio-berkeley-modules
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove kamailio-berkeley-modules
Uninstall kamailio-berkeley-modules And Its Dependencies
To uninstall kamailio-berkeley-modules
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove kamailio-berkeley-modules
Remove kamailio-berkeley-modules Configurations and Data
To remove kamailio-berkeley-modules
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kamailio-berkeley-modules
Remove kamailio-berkeley-modules configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove kamailio-berkeley-modules
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge kamailio-berkeley-modules
