What is ksh93u+m
ksh93u+m is:
KornShell is an interactive UNIX command interpreter as well as a POSIX
compliant scripting language which is a superset of sh(1), the System
V UNIX shell.
The ksh93 version of KornShell has the functionality of other scripting
languages such as AWK, Icon, Perl, Rexx, Tcl and is a full-featured,
expressive scripting language which complies with POSIX.2 Shell and
Utilities (IEEE Std 1003.2-1992).
The KornShell language was designed and developed by David G. Korn at
AT&T Bell Laboratories and AT&T Research.
There are three methods to install ksh93u+m on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ksh93u+m Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ksh93u+m using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ksh93u+m
Install ksh93u+m Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ksh93u+m using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ksh93u+m
Install ksh93u+m Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ksh93u+m using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ksh93u+m
How To Uninstall ksh93u+m on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the ksh93u+m package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ksh93u+m
Uninstall ksh93u+m And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ksh93u+m and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ksh93u+m
Remove ksh93u+m Configurations and Data
To remove ksh93u+m configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ksh93u+m
Remove ksh93u+m configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ksh93u+m configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ksh93u+m
