Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install abacas-examples on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is abacas-examples
abacas-examples is:
ABACAS (Algorithm Based Automatic Contiguation of Assembled Sequences)
intends to rapidly contiguate (align, order, orientate), visualize and
design primers to close gaps on shotgun assembled contigs based on a
reference sequence.
This package contains a test data set as well as sample scripts
running some test suite provided by Debian also as autopkgtest.
There are three methods to install abacas-examples on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install abacas-examples Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install abacas-examples using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install abacas-examples
How To Uninstall abacas-examples on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the abacas-examples package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove abacas-examples
Uninstall abacas-examples And Its Dependencies
To uninstall abacas-examples and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove abacas-examples
Remove abacas-examples Configurations and Data
To remove abacas-examples configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge abacas-examples
Remove abacas-examples configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove abacas-examples configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
