Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libfosgra0
on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is libfosgra0
libfosgra0 is:
Fosfat is a C library for providing read-only access to a Smaky
formatted disk. Currently, only a tool and a FUSE extension that
use this library can be used for reading a directory and copying
a file.
The Smaky is a line of mostly 8-bit personal computers and
accompanying operating system developed at the EPFL (École
Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne), in Switzerland, from 1974.
This package contains the libfosgra0, used to decode the Smaky .IMAGE
picture file.
There are three methods to install libfosgra0
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libfosgra0 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libfosgra0
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libfosgra0

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libfosgra0
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libfosgra0
Install libfosgra0 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libfosgra0
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libfosgra0
How To Uninstall libfosgra0 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libfosgra0
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libfosgra0
Uninstall libfosgra0 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libfosgra0
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libfosgra0
Remove libfosgra0 Configurations and Data
To remove libfosgra0
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfosgra0
Remove libfosgra0 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libfosgra0
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libfosgra0
