RIPE-MD160, SM3, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA3-224, SHA3-256, SHA3-384,
SHA3-512, SHAKE128, SHAKE256, Tiger, Whirlpool, DSA, DSA2, ElGamal, RSA, ECC
(Curve25519, sec256k1, GOST R 34.10-2001 and GOST R 34.10-2012, etc.)
This package contains header files and libraries for static linking.
There are three methods to install libgcrypt20-dev
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libgcrypt20-dev
using apt

Install libgcrypt20-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgcrypt20-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgcrypt20-dev
How To Uninstall libgcrypt20-dev on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libgcrypt20-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgcrypt20-dev
Uninstall libgcrypt20-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgcrypt20-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgcrypt20-dev
Remove libgcrypt20-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libgcrypt20-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgcrypt20-dev
Remove libgcrypt20-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgcrypt20-dev
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgcrypt20-dev
