Introduction

What is libgeographic19
libgeographic19 is:
GeographicLib is a small set of C++ classes for converting between
geographic, UTM, UPS, MGRS, geocentric, and local cartesian coordinates,
for geoid calculations, and for computing geodesic. It is a suitable
replacement for the core functionality provided by NGA Geotrans.
This package contains the GeographicLib shared library used at run-time
by applications.
There are three methods to install libgeographic19 on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgeographic19 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgeographic19 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libgeographic19
Install libgeographic19 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgeographic19 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libgeographic19
Install libgeographic19 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgeographic19 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgeographic19
How To Uninstall libgeographic19 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libgeographic19 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgeographic19
Uninstall libgeographic19 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgeographic19 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgeographic19
Remove libgeographic19 Configurations and Data
To remove libgeographic19 configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgeographic19
Remove libgeographic19 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgeographic19 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgeographic19
