on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is amqp-tools
amqp-tools is:
RabbitMQ provides robust messaging for applications. It is easy to use, fit
for purpose at cloud scale and supported on all major operating systems and
developer platforms. librabbitmq is a C-language AMQP client library for use
with AMQP servers such as RabbitMQ speaking protocol versions 0-9-1.
This package includes command line utilities.
There are three methods to install amqp-tools
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install amqp-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install amqp-tools
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install amqp-tools
Install amqp-tools Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install amqp-tools
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install amqp-tools
Install amqp-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install amqp-tools
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install amqp-tools
How To Uninstall amqp-tools on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the amqp-tools
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove amqp-tools
Uninstall amqp-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall amqp-tools
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove amqp-tools
Remove amqp-tools Configurations and Data
To remove amqp-tools
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge amqp-tools
Remove amqp-tools configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove amqp-tools
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge amqp-tools
