After updating yum database, We can install centos-linux-release
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install centos-linux-release
Install centos-linux-release on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall centos-linux-release on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the centos-linux-release
