Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install charliecloud
on CentOS 8.
What is charliecloud
Charliecloud uses Linux user namespaces to run containers with no privileged operations or daemons and minimal configuration changes on center resources. This simple approach avoids most security risks while maintaining access to the performance and functionality already on offer. Container images can be built using Docker or anything else that can generate a standard Linux filesystem tree. For more information
We can use yum
or dnf
to install charliecloud
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install charliecloud.
Install charliecloud on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install charliecloud
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install charliecloud
Install charliecloud on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall charliecloud on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the charliecloud
