Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install audit-libs
on CentOS 8.
What is audit-libs
The audit-libs package contains the dynamic libraries needed for applications to use the audit framework. audit-libs 3.0 0.17.20191104git1c2f876.el8 i686 121 k audit-3.0-0.17.20191104git1c2f876.el8.src.rpm baseos Dynamic library for libaudit http LGPLv2+ The audit-libs package contains the dynamic libraries needed for applications to use the audit framework.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install audit-libs
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install audit-libs.
Install audit-libs on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

Metadata cache created.
After updating yum database, We can install audit-libs
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install audit-libs
Install audit-libs on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

using yum

How To Uninstall audit-libs on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the audit-libs
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove audit-libs
