This metapackage will install Debian Astro packages which might be
helpful for the development of (mainly C/C++) astronomical applications. Note
that Java, Python and Tcl/Tk packages are not included here; they can be
installed by selecting the according tasks.

There are three methods to install astro-development on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install astro-development Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install astro-development using apt-get by running the following command:
