What is libgrib-api0
libgrib-api0 is:
The ECMWF GRIB API is an application program interface accessible from C and
FORTRAN programs developed for encoding and decoding WMO FM-92 GRIB edition 1
and edition 2 messages.
ECMWF is the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts.
There are three methods to install libgrib-api0
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libgrib-api0

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgrib-api0
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libgrib-api0
Install libgrib-api0 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgrib-api0
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgrib-api0
How To Uninstall libgrib-api0 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libgrib-api0
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgrib-api0
Uninstall libgrib-api0 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgrib-api0
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgrib-api0
Remove libgrib-api0 Configurations and Data
To remove libgrib-api0
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgrib-api0
Remove libgrib-api0 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgrib-api0
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgrib-api0
