on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is libgwengui-gtk2-dev
libgwengui-gtk2-dev is:
Gwenhywfar allows porting of your software to different operating
systems like Linux, *BSD, Windows etc. It also provides some often
needed modules such as configuration file handling, simple XML file
parsing, IPC etc.
This package contains development files of the Gwenhywfar GUI implementation
for GTK2.
There are three methods to install libgwengui-gtk2-dev
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libgwengui-gtk2-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgwengui-gtk2-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgwengui-gtk2-dev
How To Uninstall libgwengui-gtk2-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libgwengui-gtk2-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev

To uninstall libgwengui-gtk2-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgwengui-gtk2-dev
Remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgwengui-gtk2-dev
Remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgwengui-gtk2-dev
