on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is gstreamer1.0-rtsp
gstreamer1.0-rtsp is:
GStreamer is a streaming media framework, based on graphs of filters
which operate on media data. Applications using this library can do
anything from real-time sound processing to playing videos, and just
about anything else media-related. Its plugin-based architecture means
that new data types or processing capabilities can be added simply by
installing new plug-ins.
This package contains the GStreamer plugin for RTSP.
There are three methods to install gstreamer1.0-rtsp
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gstreamer1.0-rtsp Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gstreamer1.0-rtsp
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gstreamer1.0-rtsp
Install gstreamer1.0-rtsp Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gstreamer1.0-rtsp
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gstreamer1.0-rtsp
Install gstreamer1.0-rtsp Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gstreamer1.0-rtsp
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gstreamer1.0-rtsp
How To Uninstall gstreamer1.0-rtsp on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the gstreamer1.0-rtsp
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gstreamer1.0-rtsp
Uninstall gstreamer1.0-rtsp And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gstreamer1.0-rtsp
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gstreamer1.0-rtsp
Remove gstreamer1.0-rtsp Configurations and Data
To remove gstreamer1.0-rtsp
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gstreamer1.0-rtsp
Remove gstreamer1.0-rtsp configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gstreamer1.0-rtsp
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gstreamer1.0-rtsp
