What is libaom-doc
libaom-doc is:
AOMedia Video 1 (AV1) is an open and royalty free video encoding format
optimized for the Internet and the successor of VP9. aom is the
reference encoder and decoder implementation published by the Alliance
for Open Media.
This package contains the API documentation.
There are three methods to install libaom-doc
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libaom-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libaom-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libaom-doc

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libaom-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libaom-doc
Install libaom-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libaom-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libaom-doc
How To Uninstall libaom-doc on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libaom-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libaom-doc
Uninstall libaom-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libaom-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libaom-doc
Remove libaom-doc Configurations and Data
To remove libaom-doc
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libaom-doc
Remove libaom-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libaom-doc
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libaom-doc
