What is libaudio-xmmsclient-perl
libaudio-xmmsclient-perl is:
XMMS2 is a redesign of the XMMS music player. It features a client-server
model, allowing multiple (even simultaneous!) user interfaces, both textual
and graphical. All common audio formats are supported using plug-ins. On top of
this, there is a flexible media library to organize your music.
This package contains the Perl library Audio::Xmmsclient that allows you to
write XMMS2 clients. It’s a language binding of libxmmsclient0.
There are three methods to install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl
Install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl
Install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libaudio-xmmsclient-perl
How To Uninstall libaudio-xmmsclient-perl on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libaudio-xmmsclient-perl package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libaudio-xmmsclient-perl
Uninstall libaudio-xmmsclient-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libaudio-xmmsclient-perl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libaudio-xmmsclient-perl
Remove libaudio-xmmsclient-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libaudio-xmmsclient-perl configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libaudio-xmmsclient-perl
Remove libaudio-xmmsclient-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libaudio-xmmsclient-perl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libaudio-xmmsclient-perl
