What is libauthen-oath-perl
libauthen-oath-perl is:
Authen::OATH is an implementation of the HOTP and TOTP One Time Password
algorithms as defined by OATH (http://www.openauthentication.org).
All necessary parameters are set by default, though these can be overridden.
Both totp() and htop() have passed all of the test vectors defined in the RFC
documents for TOTP and HOTP.
totp() and hotp() both default to returning 6 digits and using SHA. As such,
both can be called by passing only the secret key and a valid OTP will be
returned.
There are three methods to install libauthen-oath-perl on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libauthen-oath-perl using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libauthen-oath-perl
How To Uninstall libauthen-oath-perl on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libauthen-oath-perl package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libauthen-oath-perl
Uninstall libauthen-oath-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libauthen-oath-perl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libauthen-oath-perl
Remove libauthen-oath-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libauthen-oath-perl configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libauthen-oath-perl
Remove libauthen-oath-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libauthen-oath-perl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libauthen-oath-perl
