libdbd-freetds is:
This driver provides connectivity to MS SQL Server or Sybase database
servers through the libdbi Database Independent Abstraction Layer using
Freetds. Switching a program’s driver does not require recompilation or
rewriting source code.
There are three methods to install libdbd-freetds

After updating apt database, We can install libdbd-freetds

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbd-freetds
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install libdbd-freetds
How To Uninstall libdbd-freetds on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libdbd-freetds
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libdbd-freetds
Uninstall libdbd-freetds And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libdbd-freetds
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libdbd-freetds
Remove libdbd-freetds Configurations and Data
To remove libdbd-freetds
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libdbd-freetds
Remove libdbd-freetds configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libdbd-freetds

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libdbd-freetds
