on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libdbm-deep-perl
libdbm-deep-perl is:
DBM::Deep is an unique flat-file database module, written in pure perl. True
multi-level hash/array support (unlike MLDBM, which is faked), hybrid OO /
tie() interface, cross-platform FTPable files, ACID transactions, and is quite
fast. Can handle millions of keys and unlimited levels without significant
slow-down. Written from the ground-up in pure perl – this is NOT a wrapper
around a C-based DBM.
There are three methods to install libdbm-deep-perl
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdbm-deep-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbm-deep-perl
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libdbm-deep-perl
Install libdbm-deep-perl Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbm-deep-perl
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libdbm-deep-perl
Install libdbm-deep-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbm-deep-perl
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libdbm-deep-perl
How To Uninstall libdbm-deep-perl on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libdbm-deep-perl
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libdbm-deep-perl
Uninstall libdbm-deep-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libdbm-deep-perl
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libdbm-deep-perl
Remove libdbm-deep-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libdbm-deep-perl
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libdbm-deep-perl
Remove libdbm-deep-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libdbm-deep-perl
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libdbm-deep-perl
