Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml on Ubuntu 20.04.

libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml is:
Camlp4 extension to OCaml for deriving functions from type declarations.
Includes derivers for pretty-printing, type-safe marshalling with
structure-sharing, dynamic typing, equality, and more.
This is the version maintained by the Ocsigen project.
This package contains the shared runtime libraries.
There are three methods to install libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml
How To Uninstall libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml

To uninstall libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml
Remove libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml Configurations and Data
To remove libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml
Remove libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libderiving-ocsigen-ocaml
