Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libdicomscope-jni
on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libdicomscope-jni
libdicomscope-jni is:
DICOMscope is a free DICOM viewer which can display uncompressed, monochrome
DICOM images from all modalities and which supports monitor calibration
according to DICOM part 14 as well as presentation states.
DICOMscope offers a print client (DICOM Basic Grayscale Print Management)
which also implements the optional Presentation LUT SOP Class.
The development of this prototype was commissioned by the “Committee for the
Advancement of DICOM” and demonstrated at the European Congress of Radiology
ECR 1999. An enhanced version was developed for the “DICOM Display Consistency
Demonstration” at RSNA InfoRAD 1999.
The current release has been demonstrated at ECR 2001 and contains numerous
extensions, including a print server, support for encrypted DICOM
communication, digital signatures and structured reporting.
This package contains the architecture dependent JNI files.
There are three methods to install libdicomscope-jni
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdicomscope-jni Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libdicomscope-jni
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libdicomscope-jni
Install libdicomscope-jni Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libdicomscope-jni
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libdicomscope-jni
Install libdicomscope-jni Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libdicomscope-jni
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libdicomscope-jni
How To Uninstall libdicomscope-jni on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libdicomscope-jni
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libdicomscope-jni
Uninstall libdicomscope-jni And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libdicomscope-jni
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libdicomscope-jni
Remove libdicomscope-jni Configurations and Data
To remove libdicomscope-jni
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libdicomscope-jni
Remove libdicomscope-jni configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libdicomscope-jni
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libdicomscope-jni
