What is elpa-message-templ
elpa-message-templ is:
This Emacs addon provides templating for Emacs message-mode. It can
match message headers by regular expression, and then apply
transformations to the message, such as changing the From: address or
signature, and inserting boilerplate text. It is also possible to
run arbitrary Emacs Lisp to set up the message.
There are three methods to install elpa-message-templ on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install elpa-message-templ Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install elpa-message-templ using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install elpa-message-templ
Install elpa-message-templ Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install elpa-message-templ using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install elpa-message-templ
Install elpa-message-templ Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install elpa-message-templ using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install elpa-message-templ
How To Uninstall elpa-message-templ on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the elpa-message-templ package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove elpa-message-templ
Uninstall elpa-message-templ And Its Dependencies
To uninstall elpa-message-templ and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove elpa-message-templ
Remove elpa-message-templ Configurations and Data
To remove elpa-message-templ configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge elpa-message-templ
Remove elpa-message-templ configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove elpa-message-templ configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge elpa-message-templ
