on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is elpa-xml-rpc
elpa-xml-rpc is:
This is an XML-RPC client library for Emacs Lisp, capable of both
synchronous and asynchronous method calls.
An XML-RPC client sends and receives data over HTTP. The request and
the response are both described using XML.
xml-rpc.el represents XML-RPC datatypes as lisp values, automatically
converting to and from the XML datastructures as needed, both for
method parameters and return values. This makes using XML-RPC
methods transparent to the lisp code.
There are three methods to install elpa-xml-rpc
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install elpa-xml-rpc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install elpa-xml-rpc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install elpa-xml-rpc
Install elpa-xml-rpc Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install elpa-xml-rpc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install elpa-xml-rpc
Install elpa-xml-rpc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install elpa-xml-rpc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install elpa-xml-rpc
How To Uninstall elpa-xml-rpc on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the elpa-xml-rpc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove elpa-xml-rpc
Uninstall elpa-xml-rpc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall elpa-xml-rpc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove elpa-xml-rpc
Remove elpa-xml-rpc Configurations and Data
To remove elpa-xml-rpc
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge elpa-xml-rpc
Remove elpa-xml-rpc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove elpa-xml-rpc
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge elpa-xml-rpc
