What is eyes17
eyes17 is:
This package provides high level interfaces for making science experiments
with an ExpEYES-17 box.
ExpEYES-17 is from the PHOENIX project of Inter-University Accelerator
Centre, New Delhi. It is a hardware & software framework for
developing science experiments, demonstrations and projects and learn
science and engineering by exploration. Capable of doing real time
measurements and analysing the data in different ways. When compared with
previous ExpEYES boxes (Expeyes, Expeyes-Junior), ExpEYES-17 is richer
in various features: multiple soft input ranges, more flexible wave
generator, better time resolution, better voltage resolution, supports
seamlessly cheap I2C sensors.
There are three methods to install eyes17 on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install eyes17 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install eyes17 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install eyes17
Install eyes17 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install eyes17 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install eyes17
Install eyes17 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install eyes17 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install eyes17
How To Uninstall eyes17 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the eyes17 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove eyes17
Uninstall eyes17 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall eyes17 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove eyes17
Remove eyes17 Configurations and Data
To remove eyes17 configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge eyes17
Remove eyes17 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove eyes17 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge eyes17
