Akonadi is an extensible cross-desktop Personal Information Management (PIM)
storage service. It provides a common framework for applications to store and

This package installs everything what’s needed for Akonadi to work with MySQL
as underlying data storage engine. By default, a local MySQL server instance
will be started for each user. Alternatively, connection to an external MySQL
database is supported as well.

There are three methods to install akonadi-backend-mysql on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install akonadi-backend-mysql Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install akonadi-backend-mysql using apt-get by running the following command:
