This package installs everything what’s needed for Akonadi to work with SQLite
as underlying data storage engine. Since SQLite is an embedded database
engine, a separate SQL server daemon is not necessary.
In addition, the package contains an improved QSql driver for SQLite named
“QSQLite3”. It can be used by any application that needs to access SQLite
databases via standard Qt QSql framework.
There are three methods to install akonadi-backend-sqlite
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install akonadi-backend-sqlite Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install akonadi-backend-sqlite
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install akonadi-backend-sqlite
How To Uninstall akonadi-backend-sqlite on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the akonadi-backend-sqlite
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove akonadi-backend-sqlite
Uninstall akonadi-backend-sqlite And Its Dependencies
To uninstall akonadi-backend-sqlite
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove akonadi-backend-sqlite
Remove akonadi-backend-sqlite Configurations and Data
To remove akonadi-backend-sqlite
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge akonadi-backend-sqlite
