android-libetc1 is:
Ericsson Texture Compression (ETC) is a lossy texture compression technique
developed in collaboration with Ericsson Research in early 2005. libETC1
provides the encoding and decoding of ETC1 compression algorithm.
There are three methods to install android-libetc1 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install android-libetc1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install android-libetc1 using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install android-libetc1 using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall android-libetc1 on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the android-libetc1 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove android-libetc1
Uninstall android-libetc1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall android-libetc1 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove android-libetc1
Remove android-libetc1 Configurations and Data
To remove android-libetc1 configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge android-libetc1
Remove android-libetc1 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
