What is fcitx-module-dbus

fcitx-module-dbus is:

Fcitx is an input method framework with extension support, which provides
an interface for entering characters of different scripts in applications

It offers a pleasant and modern experience, with intuitive graphical
configuration tools and customizable skins and mapping tables. It is
highly modularized and extensible, with GTK+ 2/3 and Qt5 IM Modules, support
for UIs based on Fbterm, pure Xlib, GTK+, or KDE, and a developer-friendly
API.

This package provides the D-Bus module and IPC interface which are directly
used by IM Modules and KIMPanel support for instance.

There are three methods to install fcitx-module-dbus on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install fcitx-module-dbus Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

How To Uninstall fcitx-module-dbus on Ubuntu 22.04

To uninstall fcitx-module-dbus and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove fcitx-module-dbus

To remove fcitx-module-dbus configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge fcitx-module-dbus

Remove fcitx-module-dbus configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove fcitx-module-dbus configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge fcitx-module-dbus
