Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install audiotools on Kali Linux.
What is audiotools
audiotools is:
These include programs for CD extraction, track conversion from one
audio format to another, track renaming and retagging, track
identification, CD burning from tracks, and more. Supports
internationalized track filenames and metadata using Unicode. Works
with high-definition, multi-channel audio as well as CD-quality.
Track conversion uses multiple CPUs or CPU cores if available to
greatly speed the transcoding process. Track metadata can be
retrieved from FreeDB, MusicBrainz or compatible servers.
There are three methods to install audiotools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install audiotools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install audiotools using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install audiotools using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install audiotools using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install audiotools
How To Uninstall audiotools on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the audiotools package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove audiotools
Uninstall audiotools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall audiotools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove audiotools
Remove audiotools Configurations and Data
To remove audiotools configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge audiotools
Remove audiotools configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove audiotools configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
