on Kali Linux.
What is bandwidthd-pgsql
bandwidthd-pgsql is:
BandwidthD tracks usage of TCP/IP network subnets and builds html files
with graphs to display utilization. Charts are built by individual IPs.
Color Codes HTTP, TCP,UDP, ICMP, VPN, P2P, etc.
This is the PostgreSQL version of bandwidthd which supports multiple sensors
and uses a dynamic (php-based) web interface. If you don’t need these features
then using the package bandwidthd is suggested.
There are three methods to install bandwidthd-pgsql
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install bandwidthd-pgsql Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install bandwidthd-pgsql
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install bandwidthd-pgsql
Install bandwidthd-pgsql Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install bandwidthd-pgsql
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install bandwidthd-pgsql
Install bandwidthd-pgsql Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install bandwidthd-pgsql
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install bandwidthd-pgsql
How To Uninstall bandwidthd-pgsql on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the bandwidthd-pgsql
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove bandwidthd-pgsql
Uninstall bandwidthd-pgsql And Its Dependencies
To uninstall bandwidthd-pgsql
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove bandwidthd-pgsql
Remove bandwidthd-pgsql Configurations and Data
To remove bandwidthd-pgsql
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge bandwidthd-pgsql
Remove bandwidthd-pgsql configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove bandwidthd-pgsql
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge bandwidthd-pgsql
