In this tutorial we learn how to install bcolz-doc
on Kali Linux.
What is bcolz-doc
bcolz-doc is:
bcolz provides columnar, chunked data containers that can be compressed
in-memory and on-disk. Column storage allows for efficiently querying
tables, as well as for cheap column addition and removal. It is based on
NumPy, and uses it as the standard data container to communicate with
bcolz objects, but it also comes with support for import/export facilities
to/from HDF5/PyTables tables and Pandas dataframes.

There are three methods to install bcolz-doc
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install bcolz-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install bcolz-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install bcolz-doc
Install bcolz-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install bcolz-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install bcolz-doc
Install bcolz-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install bcolz-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install bcolz-doc
How To Uninstall bcolz-doc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the bcolz-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove bcolz-doc
Uninstall bcolz-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall bcolz-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove bcolz-doc
Remove bcolz-doc Configurations and Data
To remove bcolz-doc
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge bcolz-doc
Remove bcolz-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove bcolz-doc
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge bcolz-doc
