Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install dmtracedump
on Kali Linux.
What is dmtracedump
dmtracedump is:
dmtracedump
generates the call stack data as a tree diagram, where
each node represents a method call. It shows call flow (from parent
node to child nodes) using arrows.
There are three methods to install dmtracedump
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dmtracedump Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install dmtracedump
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install dmtracedump
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install dmtracedump
How To Uninstall dmtracedump on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the dmtracedump
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove dmtracedump
Uninstall dmtracedump And Its Dependencies
To uninstall dmtracedump
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove dmtracedump
Remove dmtracedump Configurations and Data
To remove dmtracedump
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge dmtracedump
Remove dmtracedump configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove dmtracedump
