Introduction

on Kali Linux.
What is pulseaudio-module-raop
pulseaudio-module-raop is:
PulseAudio, previously known as Polypaudio, is a sound server for POSIX and
WIN32 systems. It is a drop in replacement for the ESD sound server with
much better latency, mixing/re-sampling quality and overall architecture.
This module enables PulseAudio to stream audio to an Apple Airport Express.
There are three methods to install pulseaudio-module-raop
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pulseaudio-module-raop Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pulseaudio-module-raop
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pulseaudio-module-raop
Install pulseaudio-module-raop Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pulseaudio-module-raop
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pulseaudio-module-raop
Install pulseaudio-module-raop Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pulseaudio-module-raop
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pulseaudio-module-raop
How To Uninstall pulseaudio-module-raop on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pulseaudio-module-raop
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio-module-raop
Uninstall pulseaudio-module-raop And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pulseaudio-module-raop
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pulseaudio-module-raop
Remove pulseaudio-module-raop Configurations and Data
To remove pulseaudio-module-raop
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pulseaudio-module-raop
Remove pulseaudio-module-raop configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pulseaudio-module-raop
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pulseaudio-module-raop
