Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install puppet-module-murano
on Kali Linux.
What is puppet-module-murano
puppet-module-murano is:
Puppet lets you centrally manage every important aspect of your system using a
cross-platform specification language that manages all the separate elements
normally aggregated in different files, like users, cron jobs, and hosts,
along with obviously discrete elements like packages, services, and files.
This module manages both the installation and configuration of OpenStack
Murano.
There are three methods to install puppet-module-murano
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install puppet-module-murano Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-murano
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install puppet-module-murano
Install puppet-module-murano Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-murano
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install puppet-module-murano
Install puppet-module-murano Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-murano
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install puppet-module-murano
How To Uninstall puppet-module-murano on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the puppet-module-murano
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove puppet-module-murano
Uninstall puppet-module-murano And Its Dependencies
To uninstall puppet-module-murano
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove puppet-module-murano
Remove puppet-module-murano Configurations and Data
To remove puppet-module-murano
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge puppet-module-murano
Remove puppet-module-murano configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove puppet-module-murano
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge puppet-module-murano
