What is abi-monitor

abi-monitor is:

abi-monitor checks for new versions of a software library, try to build them
and create a profile for the abi-tracker tool.

This tool is intended to be used together with the ABI Tracker tool to
visualize API/ABI changes timeline of a C/C++ library.

There are three methods to install abi-monitor on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install abi-monitor Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install abi-monitor using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install abi-monitor

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install abi-monitor using apt by running the following command:
