In this tutorial we learn how to install accel-config on CentOS 8.

What is accel-config

Utility library for configuring the accelerator subsystem. accel-config 2.8 1.el8 x86_64 63 k accel-config-2.8-1.el8.src.rpm baseos Configure accelerator subsystem devices https GPLv2 and LGPLv2 and MIT and CC0 Utility library for configuring the accelerator subsystem.

We can use yum or dnf to install accel-config on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install accel-config.

Install accel-config on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install accel-config using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install accel-config

Install accel-config on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall accel-config on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the accel-config package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove accel-config
