on Kali Linux.
What is aodh-expirer
aodh-expirer is:
Ceilometer aims to deliver a Single Point Of Contact for billing systems,
providing all the counters they need to establish customer billing, across
all current and future OpenStack components. The delivery of counters must be
traceable and auditable, the counters must be easily extensible to support new
projects, and agents doing data collections should be independent of the
overall system.
(A ceilometer is an instrument that measures cloud coverage.)
This package contains the expirer. it is the script that handles time-to-live
support, when it is not natively supported by the database backend.
There are three methods to install aodh-expirer
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install aodh-expirer Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install aodh-expirer
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install aodh-expirer
Install aodh-expirer Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install aodh-expirer
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install aodh-expirer
Install aodh-expirer Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install aodh-expirer
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install aodh-expirer
How To Uninstall aodh-expirer on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the aodh-expirer
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove aodh-expirer
Uninstall aodh-expirer And Its Dependencies
To uninstall aodh-expirer
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove aodh-expirer
Remove aodh-expirer Configurations and Data
To remove aodh-expirer
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge aodh-expirer
Remove aodh-expirer configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
