What is aoflagger-dev
aoflagger-dev is:
The AOFlagger is a tool that can find and remove radio-frequency interference
(RFI) in radio astronomical observations. The code has been highly optimized
for speed and accuracy. It is used by default for the LOFAR radio telescope
and thus is in productional stage. The software can run in a fully automated
way, but a graphical interface is provided to analyse results and tweak the
strategy. The preferred input file format is the Casa Measurement Set (MS)
format.
This package contains the header file to compile own programs against
the library.
There are three methods to install aoflagger-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install aoflagger-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install aoflagger-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install aoflagger-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install aoflagger-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install aoflagger-dev
How To Uninstall aoflagger-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the aoflagger-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove aoflagger-dev
Uninstall aoflagger-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall aoflagger-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove aoflagger-dev
Remove aoflagger-dev Configurations and Data
To remove aoflagger-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge aoflagger-dev
Remove aoflagger-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove aoflagger-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge aoflagger-dev
