What is argonaut-fai-mirror
argonaut-fai-mirror is:
Client / server system for managing systems in collaboration with
FusionDirectory (LDAP directory manager). Argonaut also allows interface
with deployment tools such as FAI (Fully Automated Install) or OPSI (Open
PC Server Integration).
This package contains the tools to manage local mirror and external mirrors.
There are three methods to install argonaut-fai-mirror on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install argonaut-fai-mirror Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-fai-mirror using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install argonaut-fai-mirror

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-fai-mirror using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install argonaut-fai-mirror
Install argonaut-fai-mirror Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-fai-mirror using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install argonaut-fai-mirror
How To Uninstall argonaut-fai-mirror on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the argonaut-fai-mirror package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove argonaut-fai-mirror
Uninstall argonaut-fai-mirror And Its Dependencies
To uninstall argonaut-fai-mirror and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove argonaut-fai-mirror
Remove argonaut-fai-mirror Configurations and Data
To remove argonaut-fai-mirror configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge argonaut-fai-mirror
Remove argonaut-fai-mirror configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove argonaut-fai-mirror configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge argonaut-fai-mirror
