Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is argonaut-fuse-module-opsi
argonaut-fuse-module-opsi is:
Client / server system for managing systems in collaboration with
FusionDirectory (LDAP directory manager). Argonaut also allows interface
with deployment tools such as FAI (Fully Automated Install) or OPSI (Open
PC Server Integration).
OPSI module for argonaut-fuse which is using the LDAP backend in conjunction
with FusionDirectory and Argonaut to generate client configurations.
There are three methods to install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi
Install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi
Install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install argonaut-fuse-module-opsi
How To Uninstall argonaut-fuse-module-opsi on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the argonaut-fuse-module-opsi package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove argonaut-fuse-module-opsi

To uninstall argonaut-fuse-module-opsi and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove argonaut-fuse-module-opsi
Remove argonaut-fuse-module-opsi Configurations and Data
To remove argonaut-fuse-module-opsi configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge argonaut-fuse-module-opsi
Remove argonaut-fuse-module-opsi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove argonaut-fuse-module-opsi configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge argonaut-fuse-module-opsi
