Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install array-info
on Kali Linux.
What is array-info
array-info is:
Array-info is a command line tool to retrieve information and logical
drives status from several RAID controllers (currently HP Compaq IDA
and CISS, and MD Software RAID).
It displays information about the firmware version, Rom revision,
number of physical and logical drives on the controller, as well as the fault
tolerance, size, number of physical disks and status for each logical drive.
There are three methods to install array-info
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install array-info Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install array-info
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install array-info

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install array-info
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install array-info
Install array-info Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install array-info
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install array-info
How To Uninstall array-info on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the array-info
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove array-info
Uninstall array-info And Its Dependencies
To uninstall array-info
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove array-info
Remove array-info Configurations and Data
To remove array-info
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge array-info
Remove array-info configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove array-info
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge array-info
