This Ayatana Indicator is designed to be placed on the right side of a
panel and give the user easy control over the system’s sound settings.
Ayatana Indicator Sound provides easy control of the PulseAudio sound
daemon, and integrates well with media players that support the Mpris
protocol.
Ayatana Indicators are only available on desktop environments that
provide a renderer for system indicators (such as MATE, Xfce, Lomiri,
etc.).
There are three methods to install ayatana-indicator-sound on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ayatana-indicator-sound Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ayatana-indicator-sound using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
