In this tutorial we learn how to install backport-iwlwifi-dkms on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is backport-iwlwifi-dkms
backport-iwlwifi-dkms is:
Intel works with periodic releases of the iwlwifi driver that are
tested with a specific combination of components such as firmware and
hostap. These releases can be seen as snapshots of the development
trees (including upstream) that can be used on older kernels.
This package provides iwlwifi modules built from iwlwifi-public
defconfig based on upstream master branch.
There are three methods to install backport-iwlwifi-dkms on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Remove backport-iwlwifi-dkms configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove backport-iwlwifi-dkms configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge backport-iwlwifi-dkms
